SmartnotesWhat's on reserve

•  Texts

Copies of texts are kept on reserve for the semester they are being used. These titles may be checked out for use in the library or in class. Please check out the item near the beginning of class time and return it when class ends. The three hour limit will be observed. If your class runs longer, please see Paula Jewell to cancel any fine.

•  Study aids on reserve

Study aids on reserve include the West Nutshell Series, Hornbook series, West Black Letter Series, and Sum and Substance audio CDs / tapes. Titles in print may be checked out for use in the library for three hours. Audio study CDs/tapes may be borrowed for 72 hours.

Nutshells, in a convenient compact format, are for students seeking a concise review of the basic principles of American law. Nutshells, minor exceptions aside, present an accurate "big picture" of the subjects discussed.

Sum and Substance study CDs/tapes are listed on another Smart Note: Audio Study Aids. These are very popular and in demand. There is no waiting or reserve list for these titles.

•  Tape recorders & blank audio cassettes

Audio tape recorders and headsets are available at the circulation desk for use in the library and in the classroom. Permission may be given for overnight use when availability permits. Blank audio cassettes are also available for 2 week loan.

•  Faculty assigned reading materials

Files containing current photocopied materials from faculty are kept at the circulation desk. This material is made available as soon as possible after it is received from the instructor. Each item is filed under the name of the instructor.

•  Videotape collection

•  Video Camera

The camera may be checked out and also blank video tapes.

•  Holds

Returned titles on hold for another patron are kept behind the desk for 48 hours after the one with the hold is informed. These titles cannot be renewed or checked out to anyone, except the one with the hold, for 48 hours or until it is cleared.
