Techno-Savvy Librarians? We're Here to Help

This New York Times article on the value of asking a reference question of a human librarian illustrates an important point, and one that librarians may not want to have exposed: Just how good are a librarian's skills when it comes to searching the Internet? How many librarians feel entirely comfortable with technology? Are techno-savvy people attracted to library school?

Rest assured, Pierce Law students, your library has techno-savvy staffers who are constantly challenging themselves to get better at finding resources online. Keeping you informed is the challenge, which is the reason behind this blog. Yet sometimes you need a real person to help you out of a research dilemma. Tuesday thru Friday, the library has staff members on duty until 9 p.m. Saturday and Sunday there's someone here from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday you can usually count on assistance until about 5 p.m. Drop by and see us. We just might be able to help.
