More on Anonymous Blogging
Every now and then I run across a blog chock full of information that I'm not sure what to do with but know I'll want to refer to it again one day soon. Global Voices has an entry today that really spells out the nuts and bolts of anonymous blogging. Via a case study of a fictional Sarah, an accountant working in a fictional government office, who comes upon information that indicates her boss is involved in something criminal and/or corrupt. She wants to get the information out, but doesn't want to be discovered as she will lose her job and numerous other awful things might happen to her as a result of whistleblowing. Even if you're not a geek, it might help you understand how easy it is for someone in a powerful position to discover your identity electronically.
