Bypass Registration Screens

Sometimes bloggers (and websites) offer links to interesting and important articles that you cannot read unless you login. You create a login name and password by giving up information about yourself. But, it all takes time and maybe you're not too interested in giving up information about yourself to yet another online data collection repository. Now, there's help from a site called BugMeNot.

First make a note of the website URL, or just open a new tab (you are using a tabbed browser, like Firefox aren't you?) in your browser and open the BugMeNot site.

Copy and paste the URL and click on "Show Logins" to see if there's a user name and password available.

Use that combination to enter the site.

There is a Firefox extension for BugMeNot, but I couldn't get the page to load when I tried it today. The bookmarklet does work though.

All of the user names and passwords are entered by individuals. Next time you make one, consider adding it to the BugMeNot files.
