10 Fast Google Searches or Why I have the Google Deskbar

  1. Where's my package?
    For UPS, USPS or FedEx, enter the tracking number into the Google search box.
  2. Who owns that patent?
    Use Google syntax PATENT followed by the patent number. E.g. Patent 5123123
  3. What's playing at the local movie theater?
    Use Google syntax MOVIE: followed by the zip code. E.g. Movie: 03301
  4. What's the phone number?
    Use Google syntax PHONEBOOK followed by the name and town. E.g. John Hutson Bow, NH
  5. Who owns that airplane? (US aircraft only)
    Simply enter the tail number or the "N" number. E.g. N2467Y
  6. Is the flight on time?
    Simply enter the airline and flight number. E.g. AA 468 (American Airlines flight 468)
  7. What are the airport conditions?
    Simply enter the name of the airport followed by the word AIRPORT. E.g. Boston airport
  8. Need a calculator?
    Enter the numbers with their operator (+, -, *, /) into the Google search box, press enter and the answer appears.
  9. Need a dictionary?
    Use Google syntax DEFINE followed by the word. E.g. Define API
  10. Need directions?
    Enter the street address. E.g. 2 White St. Concord, NH
